Office Assistant Application

Thank you for your interest in the Office of Residential Life Office Assistant Position. The Office Assistant helps the staff in various ORL offices with administrative tasks such as creating flyers, filing, running errands, photocopying, answering phones, and greeting office visitors.

We hire OAs on a rolling basis throughout the year. Your application may be considered at any time, by a number of different supervisors. You will be contacted if your skills and availability meet the requirements of one of our offices.

This will be used to set up your departmental email if you are hired. Just your ID is needed, not your password.
Employment History and Eligibility

Please indicate the date ranges and/or quarters, days and times, in blocks of at least 2 consecutive hours, which you are available to work between 8:30am and 5:30pm Monday through Friday.

For example:

Summer Session C starting on mm/dd/yyyy till mm/dd/yyyy:
Mon: all day
Tue: 12:00pm-5:30pm
Wed: all day

Fall 2015 starting after mm/dd/yyyy till winter break:
Mon: 1-5:30pm
Tue: 8:30am-1:30pm and 3:30pm-5:30pm

Minimum Academic Requirements

In order to support the academic success of our student staff, Residential Life conducts Grade Point Average and Enrollment Checks for all student employee positions. We may conduct these checks at the time of application and any time thereafter once the student has accepted a job offer.

  • For this position, a student must have a 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA at the time of application, hire, and/or rehire (beginning of Fall Quarter of each academic year).
  • For this position, a student must maintain full-time status (12 units per quarter) during time of employment.
