Multimedia Lead

Studio 22 is a multimedia production studio looking for energetic team players to support the development, production and marketing of digital content and the teaching of media production skills to the UCLA community.
Multimedia leads are familiar with or have extensive knowledge in one or more of the following: Digital marketing, video production, music production, recording engineering, songwriting, graphics, motion graphics, photography, social media, office administration and event production. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, a good listener, fast learner, and effective communicator and enthusiastic about showing peers what you have learned.

Position Responsibilities include the following:

  • Attend and successfully complete position-specific training
  • Proper and careful use of Studio 22 production equipment
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Submit bi-weekly timesheets in a timely manner
  • Prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects concurrently to meet deadlines
  • Execute equipment protocols and administrative tasks
  • Develop new ideas to advance Studio 22’s efforts
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Communicate regularly with the Principal Producer and Multi-Media Supervisors
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Academic Requirements

In order to support the academic success of our student staff, Residential Life conducts Grade Point Average and Enrollment Checks for all student employee positions. We may conduct these checks at the time of application and any time thereafter once the student has accepted a job offer.

  • For this position, a student must have a 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA at the time of application, hire, and/or rehire (beginning of Fall Quarter of each academic year).
  • For this position, a student must maintain full-time status (12 units per quarter) during time of employment.

Position Specific Responsibilities

Outreach & Administration Lead

  • Lead business administration efforts to support the studio including billing for services,
    digital filing, research, etc
  • Attend and successfully complete position-specific training
  • Support and manage all Studio 22 marketing campaigns and social media accounts
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Submit bi-weekly timesheets in a timely manner
  • Prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects concurrently to meet deadlines
  • Execute MMAC equipment protocols and administrative tasks
  • Develop new ideas to advance Studio 22’s production efforts
  • Lead position-specific projects
  • Reports to the Digital Marketing Supervisor

Highly competitive applicants will be detail-oriented, organized, have strong communication skills, have experience in office administration, and have ideas for improving Studio 22’s community relationships, knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and budgeting software

Compensation

Pay rate: $15.00/hr ($.62/hr shift differential for 4 or more continuous hours worked between 5pm - 8am). Students who qualify for Work Study are strongly encouraged to apply. Each Multimedia lead is expected to work 10 - 15 hours per week during weeks 0-10 of the fall, winter and spring academic quarters.
