Project Management Intern
The Project Management Internship is a paid student leadership position with the Academics & First Year Experience (AFYE) team. PMIs help create a welcoming, engaging first-year experience at UCLA by planning events, supporting key AFYE projects, and managing logistics for large-scale initiatives.
PMIs are appointed for the academic year and work closely with AFYE professional staff to bring the department’s vision to life. While all PMIs share the same core responsibilities, the specific projects you support may vary based on your skills, interests, and program needs.
Why we need you
Bruins benefit from programs, events, and resources that help them feel connected, informed, and inspired. We need organized, reliable, and collaborative student leaders like you to help make these opportunities possible. PMIs bring energy and structure to AFYE’s work, making sure events run smoothly, projects are completed on time, and the student voice stays at the center of our initiatives.

Office Hours & Administrative Work
- Work 6–8 weekly office hours during the academic year, supporting ongoing department needs.

Team Collaboration
- Attend and actively participate in weekly team meetings and bi-weekly 1:1 meetings with supervisors.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, peers, and campus partners.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive team culture.
