Now, this is a story all about how
My life took me to where I am now
And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became a prof at UCLA.

A bit north of Philadelphia born and raised
Boston is where I spent the next of my days
Getting my Masters and Bachelor's too
Engineering is the field I did then pursue.

Then a couple of years until I finally would
From California, Berkeley get my doctor hood
I got in one lil' postdoc and then I prepared
to move to LA just south of Bel Air.

I've done a bunch of things since I came here
I puzzled and board gamed and skated everywhere
If anything I could say that I like to play
But I thought "nah forget it, I live too far away"

After a number of years, a bit more than eight,
I yelled to ResLife "yo homes, let me stay"
Moved up to the hill, been a month so far
