True Bruin Ambassadors are the heartbeat of UCLA Move-In.
As a True Bruin Ambassador, you will be one of the first friendly faces new students and their guests see when they arrive at UCLA. In the role, you will welcome students, offer support transporting resident belongings, ensure a smooth traffic flow in move-in areas, and make sure everyone feels at home from day one.
In addition to providing support, True Bruin Ambassadors will gain valuable leadership, teamwork, and communication skills while forming lasting connections and contributing to a welcoming campus environment.

The True Bruin Ambassador program is open to all undergraduate residents living on the Hill or in the University Apartments North (UAN) that are looking to support move in, have early access to their Fall housing assignments, and promote the True Bruin Values of the university.

Role Expectations & Early Move-In Overview

Hill
- Early Move-in: Early move-in will take place on either Sunday, September 13 or Monday, September 14, depending on room availability.
- Mandatory In-Person Training Day: Tuesday, September 15
- 10:30AM-12:00PM -- Role Training
- 12:00-1:00PM -- Get-to-Know-You Lunch with Resident Assistants (RAs)
- 1:00-4:00PM -- Building Preparation Shift
- Meal Plans: Begin on Tuesday, September 15 with dinner.
- Shifts: You will be expected to serve 3–5 move-in shifts, where you'll welcome students, offer support transporting resident belongings, ensure a smooth traffic flow in move-in areas.
Please note, missed shifts will result in a $75 charge (per missed shift), billed to your BruinBilll account.
UAN
Move-in for University Apartments is still being finalized.
Confirmed details and dates for move-in, the required TBA training, and meal plans will be shared later this summer.
We still anticipate offering early move-in to TBAs, and the meal plan offered will cover your move-in shift dates.
