University Apartments South
Apartment Resident Assistants
Apartment Resident Assistants (ARAs) in UA South respond to after-hours needs, such as lock-outs, maintenance issues that require immediate attention, noise complaints, and after-hours move-ins, to name a few. An ARA’s primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of the apartment complexes and act as a resource for residents after-hours and on weekends. ARAs perform community walks (e.g., engaging with resident, checking for proper lighting, functioning emergency exit signs) and respond immediately to emergency situations to ensure first responders can access specific areas within the community. ARAs also play an active role in engaging in community-building activities, creating opportunities for residents to live and thrive in a supportive environment, and can connect residents with Residential Life professional staff when needed.
